One of the most exciting parts of styling a Christmas tree is choosing the colour palette.
Whether you're all about timeless tradition or leaning into something more modern and bolder, the colours you pick set the tone for your entire look. And honestly, good colour design can completely transform a space.
We work very closely with our clients to ensure their holiday styling blends beautifully with their existing décor and reflects their personal style. While we love keeping an eye on trends, the most beautiful tree is the one that feels right for you. After all, Christmas is about creating memories and your tree should be a reflection of what makes you feel happy and at home.
That said, here are a few of the colour trends we’re seeing everywhere this year.
Earthy Tones Copper & Sage Green
Nature-inspired and calming, this palette brings a warm, grounded feel to any space. Rich copper accents paired with soft sage greens are especially perfect for an Australian Christmas tree, giving that balance of festive and relaxed. When the world feels a little chaotic, this colour combo offers a sense of harmony and calm all while keeping the festive spirit alive.
Pearls, Pearls, Pearls

Yes, pearls are still having their moment and we couldn’t be happier. We were one of the first to really embrace a fully pearl-styled trees last season, and this year we’re taking it even further. Pearls add an elegant texture and soft shimmer that’s easy to love.
Pair them with white for a delicate, dreamy effect, or go bold with black accents for a more luxe, high-contrast look (one of our personal favourites!).
Champagne & Soft Golds
Always a favourite, this classic palette isn’t going anywhere. Champagne and soft golds continue to be popular, but this year, it’s all about keeping the golds light and soft.
There’s a timelessness to this look that feels elegant without being overdone, and it adds a gentle glow that works in almost any home.
Jewel Tones
Bold and luxurious, jewel tones are back again for 2025. These rich hues make a serious style statement and are perfect if you’re after something a little more dramatic. Emerald green, plum, and navy look especially beautiful when paired with coordinating tableware, throws or cushions it’s all about those layered, cohesive touches around the entire space. That is good decorating.
Timeless Whites & Silvers
You can never go wrong with white and silver. It’s clean, classic, and gives that magical, snowy feel even here in Australia. It’s also the perfect foundation for first-time decorators. Start with a neutral base and add pops of colour in future years as your collection grows. This palette blends effortlessly with most interior styles, making it a great long-term choice.
Choosing the Right Colour Palette for You
Trends are fun, but your tree should feel personal. Whether you’re dreaming of something modern and dramatic or soft and timeless, the key is to choose what you love. We’re here to help bring that vision to life.
